Conditions: Lumpy, high tide just on the turn, cool conditions. Wind from the South West.
Note: We started approximately 1km short of the traditional start as a couple of strong wind puffs came through and we thought it may have been the start of worse to come. In the end all crews handled the water conditions with relative ease.
During the race the tide had started to go out (with the wind) and water conditions eased somewhat.
It was decided that as the conditions were not totally favourable we turned at the point before Maia and raced back from there. We will endeavour to have a proper long distance race next Sunday 14th, same start time at Blanket Bay of 9:00am.
