In light of conditions, this year's event was limited to quadruple sculls and eights only. 21 crews, quadruples and eights, started; only five completed the course:

• 1st home: Waihopai mixed lightweight quadruple (time - 1:08:28)
• 2nd home: Dunstan Arm Men's U17 quadruple (time - 1:28:06)
• 3rd home: Dunstan Arm Men's U17 eight (time - 1:22:24)
• 4th home: Invercargill Women's Open quadruple (time - 1:36:46)
• 5th home: Dunstan Arm Women's U18 & Masters quadruple (time - 1:56:46)

Trophies were awarded as follows:

• Mobil Alexandra Service Station Cup (fastest crew overall): Waihopai mixed lightweight quadruple
• Russell Henderson Long 8s Trophy (fastest Eight): Dunstan Arm
• Speight Cup (fastest Women's crew/single): Invercargill Women's Open quadruple
• McStay Transport Trophy (fastest Single): not awarded
